The Continent Of Pangea

Actually what is the theory of Pangaea? Pangea theory is a theory which States that millions of years ago all the continents joined together in a single large landmass called Pangaea (before the continent now consists of 5 pieces of the continent). Then for a reason that is not yet known for certain, the continents broke and began drifting in the opposite direction. The theory goes on to say that the continents will continue to drift until they meet again, in different configurations. In the believe by some experts that pangea has characteristics similar to Antartica right now.

Based on the theory of Pangea's own theory of Alfred Wegener, a scientist Germany. In 1920 in the book The Origin of Continents and sea (Die Entstehung der Kontinente und Ozeane), He postulated that all the continents were at one time forming a super continent, Pangaea broke up and drifted before then to the location now. So the continent in antiquity at like a pumice moving due to the movement of the plates at the bottom of the Earth's crust. Pangea began to break up into a continental (continental) smaller named Laurasia (the southern hemisphere's land shaping such as latin America, Africa, India, Antarctica, Australia, New Zealand, New guenea etc) and Gondwanaland (the northern hemisphere's land shaping such as America and Europe) during the Jurassic period (days of dinosaurs). Whereas in the late Cretaceous continental continents there are already similar to what we see today (5 continents). At a time when the continent of Pangea was formed, which became continental landmass Mainland now has the Mainland liaison (Continental Bridge) connecting the Americas to the South (latin), Africa, India, Australia and Antarctica.

His question now is, when the crust of the Earth's crust continues to move until today, then how speed of his? Okay, so here goes, we live on a continent which is now moving very slowly (and can't be felt by those of us who stand on it), the movement of the plates the plates this continent each year its reach 1.5 inches/year is even slower than the growth of the nails of his fingers we per year. And with this obviously required-million million years for the mainland continent to move far away and formed the continents that exist today.

And without any now we realize continent continents we have "collide" and the process has been going on for a few million years, mainland Africa was continent collides with the Mainland. Italy, Greece and almost all the cities in the Mediterranean is part of the African plate grooves, and that his movement has been recorded in the last 40 million years (according to the geologist data). Another sign of such movements is a mountain of the Alps and the Pyrenees mountains has been Switzerland mutually encourage, causing an earthquake that struck the area sometimes Greece and Turkey. so did Australia which predicted its factored to the fore when the movement of Earth's plates, then Australia will continue to move towards the North until it strikes the South-East Asia. Similarly with other continents such as the Americas.

The early formation of large Ocean on Earth is also on the influence by Pangea. After separation (partitioning pangea) that have given rise to the ocean is estimated at 180-200 was formed millions of years ago that the middle of the Atlantic Ocean between North-Western Africa and North America as well as the southwestern Indian Ocean between Africa and Antarctica. So it is very possible if this continues to happen, then the Earth (continents) we are currently in the process of becoming "pangea" next, because the evidence does show evidence of research. So a little over 250 years the Earth could be a shapeless again today so that the penilitian did NASA (Pangaea Ultima).

In addition to forming the oceans, since his theory used to be the continent we are connected, then the continent split breaks into this, now also carry similar volcanic characteristics, such as the formation of the "ring of fire" or the circular ring of fire from Peru, keeps extends into Mexico, along the East coast of America (los angeles), Alaska, Japan, and then Piliphina, Indonesia, Islands in the Pacific, and ends in New Zealand.
